Well-known among Chinese stateside, Dealmoon has almost 7 million followers on Weibo, China’s Twitter-like microblogging platform, along with an app that’s been downloaded over 2 million times. Wang’s involvement was crucial to Dealmoon’s success, as she tailored the website’s appeal to female shoppers with beauty and fashion products. The site’s reach demonstrates both the growing power of Chinese wallets stateside and the enduring lure of American consumerism abroad.
